Over The River and Through the Woods...

to Pappy, MiMi and Aunt Jen's house we go... We arrived in WV on Tuesday morning around 12 am. Avery did really well for her first long trip in the car. We had the most wonderful Christmas. Avery met her family in WV and one moment we have waited on forver... she met her aunt Jen for the first time. We have many Christmas traditions... Christmas eve we go to my aunt Cheryls house for dinner and on Christmas morning we open gifts at my dad and mom's house then to my grandmothers house for lunch and gifts. On Christmas night we go to my Uncle Trammell and Aunt Jeanies house in our pj's and have a feast and open more presents.

December 22, 2008 we officially adopted Avery. We appeared before Judge Ott at the Newton County Courthouse along with our attorney and the judge signed all documtents. Wow** Praise God. A few friends attended along with Phillip, Avery and I. Thank you everyone for your support we love you all!!

WV Christmas...

We are heading out today to WV for Christmas... We will go to court today (12-22-08) to complete the final paperwork on our adoption... PRAISE THE LORD. What an amazing Christmas present. I will update our blog if possible while I am in WV. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!! Thank you all for following our blog and for your love and prayers.

We took Avery to Stone Mountain for the Christmas fun... Our friends Jess, Debra and Raymond ask us to go with them... we had a good time. After we got home Avery slept through the night : ) (SHE NEVER DOES THAT) : ) Thanks Debra and Jess, we love you guys so much!!!!

Christmas Gift...

God had given us the most amazing Christmas gift this year... With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) Last year Phillip and I didn't even put up a tree this year we could not wait to put one up. Avery is the sweetest baby. : )

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town...

We took Avery to the mall in Athens to see Santa... She had no problem with sitting on his lap and getting her picture taken. : ) Santa told her "thanks for you list" I told him, " it will be longer next year". : ) Her she is meeting Santa for the first time.

5 Months Old...

Happy 5 month birthday Avery... It is so hard to believe that Avery is almost a half a year old. This is Avery in one of her 3 dresses MiMi sent her for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving...

Avery's first Thanksgiving... wow another first. What an amazing miracle God has given us. We are truly thankful, not just at Thankgiving, but always.

We went to Phillip's aunt Virginia's for Thanksgiving and spent time with family. We had a great time. Later we went over to see the William's family and have some more good food and fellowship, you will see a sweet picture of Cole and Avery at the bottom. : )
