How High Can I Climb...

We spent the morning at the park and Avery is just so adventurous (she gets that from phillip).  The park has two playgrounds one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12 where do you think my child played...5-12.  They have a rock wall to climb and the video above is her first time climbing and believe me there were many more after this.  I am so sorry for the sideways video I don't know how to flip it and from the looks of it I don't know how to video either.  SORRY!!!

Relay For Life 2011...

We had the honor to participate in Relay for life this year.  Our church started a team this year and Phillip, Avery and I were a part of it.  As most of you know Phillip's dad lost his battle with cancer in September 2008, so this day was bitter sweet for us.  I have wanted us to get involved in something as a family and participate each year, so this was great!!!  Avery helped me make a luminary bag in memory of Phil...I had a picture of Phil and Avery right after Avery was born so we pasted that on there and decorated our bag to place on the relay track.

Avery standing behind Phil's bag...she was so proud.  Her poppy Phil would be SO proud of her.

Here is the luminary bag lit up...The track looked so beautiful with all the bags lit in memory or honor of everyone.  The 3 of us walked around the track in memory of Phil during the time the bags were lit...very emotional time.

I love this picture below...(wish it wasn't so blurry)

Easter 2011...

We had a great Easter weekend...The most amazing thing about Easter Weekend is knowing our Savior arose from the grave and HE LIVES!!!!!!!

Avery colored eggs...we told her to put the eggs in the dye and she just plopped them down like they were a golf ball.  : )  She hunted eggs at Mary's house on Saturday and we ate our wonderful Easter dinner too.

Bootsie gave her a little help hunting eggs. : )
WOW look at all those eggs!!!!

The night before Easter wearing her new gown that she picked out...LOVE the headband and slippers.  Avery is looking for more candy in her basket from the egg hunt.
Easter morning the Easter bunny left his foot prints all over our floor and left Avery a basket full of goodies. Avery was so excited to see Bunny Prints on our floor.

Here is our sweet angel on Easter morning going to church.   (thanks Granty and Uncle T for the beautiful dress and pap pap and mimi for the sweet purse and new shoes)
I told Avery to look at me and smile and this is what I got.  Gotta love it!!!

God Answers Prayers...

Pap Pap, MiMi and Aunt Jenn (hen) visited us from WV.  We have prayed for this visit for so long.  Aunt Jenn has not been able to visit since 2007 and God kept her strong and she made the trip.  From the moment they arrived Avery was glued to their hips.  Aunt Jenn (hen is what Avery calls her) and Avery are best buddies they have this special little relationship they are fun to watch.  Pap Pap was  always hearing "c'mon pap pap" and that usually was his sign to come play, pick her up and spin her around or sneak and jump on the bed.  MiMi was Avery's Dora buddy...they watched Avery's new Dora movies together and whatever Avery needed MiMi made sure she got it. : ) A funny story about mimi and Avery...we went to Target and Avery picked out a pink boa and then found a fake snake.  My mom is deathly afraid of snakes real, fake, ALL snakes but she bought this snake for Avery.  My mom said "I can't believe mimi bought you this snake".  She made mimi put 2 snakes on the cart at target so they would bounce while they will looking around.  My little one loves pink boa's and snakes.  Well rounded don't you think.
I thank God for my amazing family and getting them to GA safe and for ALL the memories we were able to make.  Thank you GOD for answered prayers.

Avery is now the proud owner of a new swing set, early Easter present from pap pap, mimi and aunt Jenn.  My dad had the pleasure of putting it together. Avery was down for a nap when he put it up when she seen the swing she was so excited and the look on her face was priceless!!  Thanks pap pap!!

This picture is one of my favorites... Aunt Jenn and Avery laughed like this ALL the time.  They have a connection!!

Raindrops Keep Falling...

Avery is now the proud owner of a Big Bird Umbrella...I have to say she loves to open the umbrella up in the house she feels very grown up and important when she gets a chance to use her umbrella.  : )  I don't think I could be any more proud of anything or love anyone the way I love this sweet child.  Happy Friday Everyone!!!!!
I think this look almost has a little attitude behind it...what do you think?
