Merry Christmas 2010...

warning: picture overload
sorry for so many pictures, i can't help myself. : )

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  We made a trip home to WV for Christmas and it was a white Christmas.  Avery enjoyed Christmas so much this year, she opened all her gifts with no help from daddy or mommy.  As I watched Avery open her gifts I knew that was my gift and all I ever needed!!  We had a wonderful visit with my family and spent some great quality time together.  Santa was good to everyone, thanks Santa for everything!!!

(daddy if you are reading this....this post is for you I know you have been checking)
Snowing Christmas morning.
mimi and Avery baked cookies... priceless

Avery and grandad

We went to Aunt Cheryl's house for our Christmas eve dinner...Avery with a few of her cousins.  Leah, Lilly and Avery.

Avery and Isabelle

Each year someone reads the Christmas Story to everyone. This year Dave had the honor of reading the story of our Saviors Birth.

Christmas morning this was the first picture I snapped.

Avery received this little table for Christmas and she decided to put it to good use right away...she set her gifts on top of it and opened them there.  (smart girl)

Avery with her best friend, Aunt Jenn.  They have a connection like I have never seen.

Helping daddy open his gifts.

I had to post this picture... every year mom always gives Jennifer a gift that was suppose to be mine or visa versa...this year it was Phillip that got the gift.  (mommy you rock, you do a great job just wouldn't be Christmas if this didn't happen.)

One of our Christmas traditions is to go to Uncle T and Granty's house.  I look so forward to this every year they always make is SO SPECIAL for us.  Thank you Uncle T and Granty.

Christmas night we go to Uncle T and Granty Jeanie's house.  Avery is sitting in Granty's chair.

Love this picture of Avery and mimi.

One of Avery's gifts from Uncle T and Granty was a pair of boots...Avery loves clothes and shoes, this makes me proud!!  The little boots have a clear place on the bottom and you can see her little feet.

Needed a nap after all that excitement.  On Aunt Jenn's bed and resting peacefully.

The day after Christmas we went down to the farm in front of grandad and mimi's house and Avery looked at the cows and new baby calf's.  It was freezing cold this day and the wind was blowing so hard.  I didn't pack Avery gloves... so if you grew up playing in the snow like I did you improvise...socks on the hands work pretty good. You know you are in the country when you can walk across the street to look at the cows and wear socks on your hands.

Daddy let Avery drive.

You can't have snow and not have a snowball fight.  Avery loved throwing snow at daddy and grandad.

Santa Arrives Early...

We told Santa that we are leaving on Thursday to go to WV... ho, ho, ho came to our house early since Avery has been a good girl this year.  We were eating dinner last night and Santa called Phillip on the phone and told him that he had just left our house and in the back ground we heard reindeer bells.  How exciting to see Avery come in and look under the tree to find all her presents from Santa. She got a basketball goal and when she first walked in she picked up the ball and shot some hoops...daddy was SO proud ( I think we are going to have a little athlete on our hands).  Here are a few pictures..
The picture above this is her tent...as soon as she played basketball she run over and jumped in her tent.  She discovered a bag of smarties candies in her stocking so she needed a pack of those open.  We opened the smarties candy and while she opened gifts she would come over get a smarties, jump in her tent, shoot a basket and then go back to open presents... priceless.

The pillow pet was a HUGE hit!!!

I always have to get a picture of her from behind...just love how her little feet looked.

Ring pops were the next thing she needed to open from her stocking...I love the picture below she is eating her ring pop and holding her new babies hand.  Yes, she is truly that sweet.  : )

It can make you sleepy opening so many presents and eating all those fun snacks... Avery crawled in her tent with her pillow pet and rested before getting her second burst of energy...maybe it was a sugar high.

Christmas 2010...Our gift from God above.

Christmas 2008... The most precious gift ever received!!!!!
Now we are heading "over the river and through the woods to mimi, grandad and aunt jenns house"
SO EXCITED!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!

Did You Say Bungee Jumping?...

We went Christmas Shopping at the mall over the weekend.  I was shopping in one store and Phillip and Avery went out in the middle of the mall to look around.  Phillip was heading back into the store as I was coming out and he said "momma, Avery wants to bungee jump" I said "Avery is not bungee jumping..." I just thought he was pulling my leg and trying to push my buttons.  Well, my baby bungee jumped!!!  My 2 year old little delicate angel  got her self strapped in and kept her eyes closed the entire time ( we think the eyes closed means she can't see you so surely you can't see her) she was getting put into the harness. I was so proud and Phillip's pride was about to explode.  Avery had the best time!!!!!

Eye's closed..."you can't see me"

She leaned back like this until Phillip took over...

Looking Like Christmas...

We started to decorate for Christmas at the Popham house.  Here is Avery on top of the tree box...she loves to climb.

 Decorating the tree...

Avery had the honor of putting the star on top of the tree; daddy is the best helper.

I love this picture...Avery is so tiny that Phillip can hold her with one hand.

Love our 3 stockings...waited so many years to hang all 3. My sweet Avery.
