Lets Go BRAVES!!!...

 Avery went to her first Atlanta Braves Game...our first stop was here ...You can't go to Atlanta without a stop at The Varsity...  "What'll ya have".

Avery was given this "My First Visit to Braves Country" I thought this was so neat...we were walking to the bathroom and one of the Braves workers stopped and ask if this was Avery's first Braves game...I said "yes"... "Well, she has to have her certificate" he said. 

 Avery had a great time at the game after we went up to the sky field.  They have a ton of room to run around and you can still watch the game.  Avery loved running to the base...she had to have  (per Phillip) a Braves Tomahawk so she could do the Tomahawk Chop.

Mothers Day 2011...

I am a little behind on my posts...Mothers Day was awesome!!!  Avery told me "happy mothers day" this is the first time she has been able to say these words...I CRIED.  I told Phillip that was all I needed for mothers day were those 3 words.  PRICELESS. I waited 19 years to hear those words and they are burned in my heart and brain FOREVER!!! Avery and Phillip gave me a new patio umbrella for our patio table, we needed one so bad and this is what I really wanted.  In Sunday School class Avery made me a card and gave me a candle.  Great day!!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful mothers day.  I love being a mommy and I want to say Happy Mothers day to my mommy and I hope I am half the mother to Avery that she is to me!!!  I love you mommy! 

How High Can I Climb...

 We spent the morning at the park and Avery is just so adventurous (she gets that from phillip).  The park has two playgrounds one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12 where do you think my child played...5-12.  They have a rock wall to climb and the video above is her first time climbing and believe me there were many more after this.  I am so sorry for the sideways video I don't know how to flip it and from the looks of it I don't know how to video either.  SORRY!!! 

Relay For Life 2011...

 We had the honor to participate in Relay for life this year.  Our church started a team this year and Phillip, Avery and I were a part of it.  As most of you know Phillip's dad lost his battle with cancer in September 2008, so this day was bitter sweet for us.  I have wanted us to get involved in something as a family and participate each year, so this was great!!!  Avery helped me make a luminary bag in memory of Phil...I had a picture of Phil and Avery right after Avery was born so we pasted that on there and decorated our bag to place on the relay track.

 Here is the luminary bag lit up...The track looked so beautiful with all the bags lit in memory or honor of everyone.  The 3 of us walked around the track in memory of Phil during the time the bags were lit...very emotional time.

Easter 2011...

We had a great Easter weekend...The most amazing thing about Easter Weekend is knowing our Savior arose from the grave and HE LIVES!!!!!!! 

Avery colored eggs...we told her to put the eggs in the dye and she just plopped them down like they were a golf ball.  : )  She hunted eggs at Mary's house on Saturday and we ate our wonderful Easter dinner too.

The night before Easter wearing her new gown that she picked out...LOVE the headband and slippers.  Avery is looking for more candy in her basket from the egg hunt.

 Easter morning the Easter bunny left his foot prints all over our floor and left Avery a basket full of goodies. Avery was so excited to see Bunny Prints on our floor.
