MiMi Monday...

MiMi came to visit from West Virginia. We have had a great time with MiMi here... we took walks, cooled off in the pool, played, blew bubbles and just enjoyed each day together!! We love you MiMi and we can't wait to see you in July!!!!!!!

11 Months Old...

Friday Favorites...

Avery now has her own little sofa. Pappy, MiMi and Aunt Jenn bought this for her and she LOVES it!!! It's "Dora the Explorer" and it folds out to make a mat for her to lay on too. Thanks Pappy, MiMi and Aunt Jenn.

Splish Splash...

We put Avery in her pool on Saturday and she loved it. I have to apologize for so many pictures. So many to pick from and I just love them all!! : ) She is wearing one of her little bathing suits, she has several this one is from Uncle Trammell and Grant.
Finally got her hair wet, but she was much more interested in the grass and picking it.

Friday Favorites...

Avery is trying to walk, she loves this toy that pappy & mimi gave her at Christmas. She made me laugh when she got stuck, she just kept pushing...love that determination

She fell down...

And now she is trying to get up. : )

Pappy & MiMi gave Avery a beach ball for Easter and now that she has teeth she decided to bite down on the ball and she put a hole in it... then she decided to use it as a cushion. : )

Love this picture... look at those legs, I love those little tiny rolls. Avery was wearing her Elmo shirt and sitting in her rocker watching Elmo...she LOVES Elmo. : )

Daddy's biggest fan. How sweet is this... Avery went to watch her daddy play ball the other night and she is wearing her Newton Baptist and she has her daddy's # 15 on the back.

Avery & Cole...

Cole spent the afternoon with us last week and he was a big help looking after Avery. When we picked him up from school he said "hey pretty girl, how are you". : ) Cole told me that he was like Avery's big brother, he loved her so much and they were best friends. : ) How sweet is that. I have been a part of Cole's little 4 year life since day one, and I adore him!! I am so glad Cole and Avery will always be friends!!!! Love you Cole!!

Before church this morning.

This was my gift this morning... anyone who shops in Covington on the square would know this package in a minute... Spiers. This usually means something Vera Bradley. : )

Avery & Phillip gave me a Vera Bradley All in One Wristlet. This is just what I need being a new mommy. I can put my money, keys, cards and keys in this.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

Phillip said to me yesterday, "this is your 1st official mother's day"... I have such a wonderful husband. Each mother's day that came and went over the years, Phillip ALWAYS made me feel special on that day. We usually always went to dinner and he always did something special for me. I have always had a mother's heart and I prayed one day God would make me, "official". : ) When mothers day would get here each year, I would be out in the store and the cashier would say "happy mother's day" and I would just smile and if it was a lady cashier I would say "happy mother's day to you too"... or at church, each year they usually pass out flowers to each mother and they would insist that take one. I would always wonder if the day would every come that I would be able to say thank you, when I was wished a "happy mother's day" or take the flower without feeling "I'm not a mother I shouldn't". Praise God for the gift He has given me this year... I love being a mom, it's everything I could have imagined and SO much more. Avery is the light of my life, she brings so much joy and happiness to me, it's a huge honor to be Avery's mommy. After 17 years of waiting on the gift of becoming a mother, God has blessed me and showed me so much in the "wait". I know so many others that are waiting to become mothers, and I just want to say... God does answer prayers and He knows you have a "mother's heart".

I want to thank my mommy for being the amazing "mother" that she is. What a role model I have had. My mom was a stay at home mom and I thank God for that, she was there everyday I came home from school, she is someone I can talk to about anything, she has a heart that is bigger than anyone I know, she is caring, giving and encouraging. I hope that I am half the mother to Avery that my mom is to me. I love you mommy.

We let Avery chew on a corn cob the other night at supper and she enjoyed it... the pictures make me laugh. At first she wasn't sure what to do with it and then when she realized she liked it she just leans back and enjoys.

10 Months Old Today...

Avery is 10 months old today... here are few pictures. At Breakfast this morning. : )

Trying to pull herself up... she took about 2 steps yesterday standing behind this toy, she got this for Christmas from pappy & mimi and we are now putting it to good use...

Friday Favorites...

Avery took a bath in the big tub last night for the first time... she had a good time! We tried to put her in the other night and she lost it, the tears just started to flow. Last night I got in the tub with her to start and then after she started having a good time I got out. : ) Just ignore me talking in the video... when did I become so country when I talk, I hate to hear myself. On one part of the video I tell her "good job" and notice how she tosses the wash cloth and starts clapping, she knows when we say "good job" we always clap. Enjoy!!!! Don't forget to turn up the volume.

Then it was time to put on her pj's... pappy & Mimi sent her new pj's from Old Navy and I have to admit she looks pretty darn cute!!!!!
